Seeing Myself The Way God Sees Me!

On my spiritual journey just like others I have experienced challenging times. This Faith Life  is not always easy but it’s always worth it. I’m going to share a personal journal entry from my time with God, I hope to encourage my readers as I open My Heart, thoughts and prayers.

Often times we can get so caught up in life that we begin to see ourselves through our own eyes. Many choices we have made that has increased our lives we needed God’s help. God is always there to lead and guide us and do things within and through us. When life becomes overwhelming we can lose sight of the Big Picture and begin to doubt ourselves, our gifts and talents because we are looking at what we can do through our own strength. Through the difficult time I recently experienced I had to remind myself of the way that God sees me, His purpose for my life and all that He has called me to do. God reminded me that it is not through my own strength that I have gotten this far on my journey but everything is through Him. He is my Source, the Truth, the Life and the only way I will fulfill my purpose is to Trust Him.

Journal Entry: February 14th 2018

As I search my heart today and everyday, I constantly make a choice to trust in God. Everything is not perfect but it is moving forward. I am choosing to look forward and enjoy each day as best as I can and to let past things pass away. I am also choosing to have an open heart, and no matter what I am choosing to Forgive, Let Go and Walk in Love.

Prayer: I thank you Lord for giving me the strength to move forward on this spiritual, emotional and mental Journey you have set me upon. In every trial there is a lesson, with every difficulty I am faced with choices and I always choose the choice that line up with your word. At times I get annoyed, emotionally disturbed and frustrated with situations and people. But I always come back to my foundation in you! I remember the Bigger Picture and the bright future you have planned for me! I know you know best and provide me with everything I need and want. I thank you for helping me, understanding me and giving me peace so that you can continue your work in me until the day it is finished. This journey so far has been beautiful, exciting and sometimes difficult. But I know it is definitely worth it and I’m glad you chose me!  As long as you keep choosing me and pursuing me (which I know He always will) I will always keep choosing you! Thank you for filling in the gaps because of you I am whole! Amen!

Scripture:” Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4: 6-7

I hope you will be encouraged today! Remember it is not by your own strength that you will live out your purpose is it by God’s power within you!

Happy Monday! ❤

I’d Rather Be….

Have you ever taken the time to let your mind wander, or set aside some time to just think? I often find myself allowing my mind to drift when I’m alone and it’s quiet I think of my future.

Sometimes I wonder if given a time machine what things I would go back and change? I think about things I would rather be doing, and if I did change some things would I be in the same place in life that I am now? Would I have done more, seen more and achieved more? When I ask myself these questions I know I’m not alone in wondering where I’d rather be.

On my life’s journey so far I have learned and observed we spend a lot of time wondering what could have been? Allowing our past experiences to take a seat in our present lives. In order to move forward and have the future God has planned for us, we must first move out of the past. Moving out of the past doesn’t mean you have to forget it. I definitely have had past experiences that have helped to shape me into the woman I am today. (And not to toot my own horn but I turned out pretty great). Remembering some of my past reaffirms how far I have come while not repeating my past mistakes. We shouldn’t let our past make present and future decisions in our lives.

Some ways to not allow your past to interfere with your present and future are as follows:

*Always Forgive*

No matter who it is or what was done forgive them, forgive it. Remember forgiveness is always for you and not for the person or act you are forgiving.

*Let Go*

After you have forgiven just let it go! You will feel free of the tension and heaviness that comes with holding on to a wrongdoing or negativity.

*Trust God*

Trusting people is so hard! So therefore put all of your trust in God! He will guard your heart so you don’t have to. Trust that He will bring the right people and opportunities into your life!

*Walk In Love*

In everything you do, do it with the intention of Love! You can’t control what others do or say but you always have control over yourself, your response, your intentions and your actions. Love is a choice and an action not just a feeling!

So now when wondering where I’d rather be I am just filled with thankfulness! I am thankful that I am not my past, I am not those past hurts and wrong-doings. I am the woman God created me to be! I will not allow past experiences to take a seat in my present life or cause me to make future decisions because of what happened to me back in the day! I will continue to allow my past to be just what it was, an old experience, a memory, a lesson. It is not my future, it is not me! My past or any situation, any person or anything cannot and will not stop me from receiving all God has for me!

Be encouraged today that you are not your past! Your future is brighter than ever and God’s Love flows through you! Therefore you have everything you need to live your best life and to conquer every obstacle! That molehill may seem like a mountain but God has already worked it out for you! I’d rather be living my best life, how about you?

Happy Friday! ❤️
