Overcoming Daily Obstacles!

Most of us in this world are working adults, we work the dreadful Monday through Friday schedule 8AM to 5PM. Depending on your career path you may have more flexibility or be a homemaker. In any case we all work, taking the steps to reach our goals in life and to fulfill our life’s purpose.

During the work week it is so easy to experience many obstacles. These obstacles may be work related, personal or emotional. Either way by the end of the week you can be drained from it all or you can overcome those obstacles like a champ! Here is what I do to effectively get through the work week, enjoy the weekend and get back to business the next week.

Firstly I’ve been working a new job for almost 4 months now. I used to work from home but now I go into the office. My daily obstacles include, office banter, traffic, waking up before the butt crack of dawn and dealing with people, their feelings, thoughts and attitudes all week long! And then I say “God are you sure this is what I asked for?”

The way I come out on top every week is I continue to fill my spirit with God’s word. Listening to a sermon, reading scripture or notes that I’d previously made, it’s all God’s word. Then when I get off of work I always do at least one enjoyable activity, whether it is watching my favorite show, listening to music or best of all getting on my skates! As long as I do something enjoyable that evening it helps my week go smoother.

The second thing I do is to always be mindful of foolishness and negative people. If you can, avoid both of these. Foolishness and negative people only bring you down, use your energy ineffectively and cause you to get distracted. You don’t need that, I know I don’t!

Lastly, don’t panic! Don’t panic when things don’t go as planned or you left the shoes you wanted to wear to work at home and didn’t realize it until you were halfway to work, had no spare time to stop for a new pair and if you did everything is closed because it’s 6AM when you arrive at your place of work like I did this morning! Haha!

Lift up your head, trust God because He has a solution for every problem and walk into work confidently, get through your work week gracefully, use your energy effectively and wear those Neon Pink Nike Slides like you coordinated it with your outfit on purpose! 😁

When we make sure we fill our spirits with God’s word, do enjoyable activities, don’t panic and trust God we will continue to overcome daily obstacles, small aggravations and unexpected changes. At the end of week we will be winners, conquerors and exactly the people God created us to be!

When You Do Better, You Become Better And Experience Better!

Happy Wacky Wednesday! ❤

Go With The Flow, Depending On God For Everything!!!

It’s human nature to want to do things ourselves, make our own choices, never ask for help but to first try and make things happen all on our own. Even as a child begins to explore on their own they often tell their parents “I got it” or “I’m going to do it myself.” It’s natural to feel if you don’t do it yourself it won’t be done in the right way, or the way in which you want it to be done. But God is here for us, alongside us, teaching us, leading and guiding us to an adventure that He has planned specifically for our lives.

I must say it is never easy asking for help or thinking that I cannot do things on my own. It took an event in my life for me to realize that life isn’t easy and I needed help in order to live my best life. As I came to this point I turned to God admitting that I was lost and needed help. I was also willing to stop doing things my own way and open to learning how to live my life the way God has planned it. He immediately begin to reveal His plan for my life, slowly but surely. This plan required me to always depend on God, to trust Him to lead me to making the right choices, allowing the Divine relationships into my life and to steer clear of relationships/friendships that were not meant for me. It required work on my part but this time when I accepted God’s way and abandoned my own I would never be alone.

Little did I know once I made the decision to accept God’s plan a continuous need for God would grow. I went from calling on God in only hard times to needing Him everyday, in every decision and in every area of my life. The more I depended on God the more He taught me. I learned to trust Him always, come to Him first not as a last resort and keep Him at the head of my life. God has increased me in amazing ways that cannot be explained. He has held a firm grip on me not letting me fall when life gets hard and making lemonade out of very sour lemons. I have learned how to be happy 99 percent of the time and when weapons form that 1 percent of the time to have faith they won’t prosper. I don’t sweat the small stuff and I am open to instant changes because life is always changing. I continue to accept God’s plan for my life over and over again! I say that because we ask God for things all the time but when He gives them to us in a way that we didn’t think could have happened sometimes we can overlook the blessing just because it didn’t happen the way we may have thought it would.

When we accept God’s plan and depend on him, solely on Him for all things we allow Him to bless us in the best way possible or impossible. The way God does things in and throughout our lives we don’t have the capacity to think that up! We can’t even imagine it! God is so big and so loving! He has our best interest, He protects us, He looks out for us, He is loyal to us and most of all He loves us more than any human can!

If you are having a hard time figuring this thing called Life out just hook up with God. He is the best friend and family you could ever have! He knows all and He is all the help you need! His word says “Everything We Need Is In Him.” With God you can’t lose, you may get down but He won’t let you fall and your life will never be boring! But filled up with the great adventure God has created just for you!

Try Him Y’all! He Will Teach You How To Go With The Flow Of Life! Increasing You Every Step Of The Way!

Happy Sunday! ❤️

Seeing Myself The Way God Sees Me!

On my spiritual journey just like others I have experienced challenging times. This Faith Life  is not always easy but it’s always worth it. I’m going to share a personal journal entry from my time with God, I hope to encourage my readers as I open My Heart, thoughts and prayers.

Often times we can get so caught up in life that we begin to see ourselves through our own eyes. Many choices we have made that has increased our lives we needed God’s help. God is always there to lead and guide us and do things within and through us. When life becomes overwhelming we can lose sight of the Big Picture and begin to doubt ourselves, our gifts and talents because we are looking at what we can do through our own strength. Through the difficult time I recently experienced I had to remind myself of the way that God sees me, His purpose for my life and all that He has called me to do. God reminded me that it is not through my own strength that I have gotten this far on my journey but everything is through Him. He is my Source, the Truth, the Life and the only way I will fulfill my purpose is to Trust Him.

Journal Entry: February 14th 2018

As I search my heart today and everyday, I constantly make a choice to trust in God. Everything is not perfect but it is moving forward. I am choosing to look forward and enjoy each day as best as I can and to let past things pass away. I am also choosing to have an open heart, and no matter what I am choosing to Forgive, Let Go and Walk in Love.

Prayer: I thank you Lord for giving me the strength to move forward on this spiritual, emotional and mental Journey you have set me upon. In every trial there is a lesson, with every difficulty I am faced with choices and I always choose the choice that line up with your word. At times I get annoyed, emotionally disturbed and frustrated with situations and people. But I always come back to my foundation in you! I remember the Bigger Picture and the bright future you have planned for me! I know you know best and provide me with everything I need and want. I thank you for helping me, understanding me and giving me peace so that you can continue your work in me until the day it is finished. This journey so far has been beautiful, exciting and sometimes difficult. But I know it is definitely worth it and I’m glad you chose me!  As long as you keep choosing me and pursuing me (which I know He always will) I will always keep choosing you! Thank you for filling in the gaps because of you I am whole! Amen!

Scripture:” Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4: 6-7

I hope you will be encouraged today! Remember it is not by your own strength that you will live out your purpose is it by God’s power within you!

Happy Monday! ❤

Negativity Acceptance Vs. Positivity Rejection

Why is it acceptable and pretty much normal for people to be negative? Why is being positive out of the norm? When I begin to try and answer these questions I automatically think of what is out there. The negative examples on television, social media, and within people’s lives. Although, this is where I would say I see the most negativity there are also many people on the same platforms that promote positivity. I have noticed from my experiences negativity gets the most attention. I always wondered why that is? Is it because negativity is what people like? Is it because negativity is entertaining? Is it because most people are not satisfied with their own lives that they crave negativity? Many questions enter into my mind when I think of negativity vs. positivity.

It seems as if positivity is not normal, positivity is normally not the first response. Most people first weigh the options of a situation, analyze it, critique it and then maybe they may come up with a positive outcome. But why the process just to be positive or to have a positive response? Why isn’t it automatic? Is being supportive and happy for someone else only caused by first analyzing where you are in life? Can you naturally just be happy for someone else being in a positive space even if you are not? All these questions has my wheels turning, my mind thinking and my fingers typing. Let’s see if I can get to the bottom of this.

We all were younger at one time or another, going about life recklessly, making bad decisions and not thinking before doing. Naturally life experiences teaches us what not to do again so that we hopefully learn, mature and grow. But too often I find that people of  mostly mature ages Dibble and Dabble in negativity and what it brings. Negativity mostly stems from a negative mind frame, the way that we shape our thinking. The way you think  is the way you see the world. If you have a negative mind frame then negative things will manifest in your life. If you have a positive mind frame, positive things will begin to show up in your life.

One of the main things that I have experienced after rededicating my life to God is that first my thinking had to change. I used to think the whole world was against me, that everyone was out to get me and that bad things always seemed to happen to me. And because I thought  this way that is exactly what happened, I was unaware at the time my thinking brought forth negative manifestations/situations and caused me to respond in a negative way. After picking a couple of people’s brains I learned the reasons why negativity seems to be the first response is because of unawareness, immaturity and the lack of positive examples. Sometimes we as people have to see it to believe it. Me personally, I live my life by faith so I believe for things before I see them happen. But many people need to see it for themselves in order to believe positivity will bring forth positive manifestations.

Even though we live in a ever-changing world some people choose year after year to be the same. They never make any changes and continue to do the same things they have been doing expecting different results (which is the definition of insanity), then they question why their life is the way it is. In order to bring change in our own lives we have to change our thinking and our decision making.

Doing something just because everyone else is doing it is not always the best way to go. I personally love to do what everyone else isn’t doing. I like to stand out, be the unique person that God has made me to be and choose to live my best life. I also do not care what other people think of me, I know what God says about me and that is final. I do not require validation from others. I feel this way because of the boldness and confidence that God has instilled in me. I know who I am in Him and what my purpose in life is. I know because I trust God and have rededicated my life to him that I possess all the tools necessary to control my response to negativity. Shunning negativity does not start with judging others it starts with me! Choosing to make the right decisions, having the right thinking and choosing to not allow any obstacles in my path to knock me off the course God has created just for me.

The next time you are faced with negativity Choose to be positive! Choose to respond in a positive way or to not respond at all! Choose to be who God created you to be! Choose to live in your purpose! Choose to live your best life! Choose to be unapologetically you! Practicing Positivity will manifest a Positive life!

Happy Friday! ❤️

God’s Love Is Everything!

The way God Loves is very different from how we as humans love. God’s Love doesn’t come with stipulations or conditions. God’s Love goes on forever and never gives up. God’s Love waits patiently on us to come to Him and live the life He has designed just for us. God’s Love doesn’t judge our personalities and characteristics. God’s Love is the best kind of Love that anyone can receive. God’s Love is the only Love of it’s kind, the original and true meaning of what Love truly is.

When you think of all the goals you have in life I guarantee for most people finding true Love is on that list. Love is what we feel can make us complete, fill the void in our lives and bring our lives full circle. If you have everything but you don’t have Love then you ultimately have nothing. Have you ever wondered why Love is considered having everything? Why is it that our lives always feels as if something is missing if we don’t have Love? Often times we go about searching for Love in all the wrong ways. We hope that one day we will meet the one person in this world who understands us, completes our sentences and can see us for who we are. We look for this Love from another human, a man or a woman. That one person who will give us the Love we see in romantic movies, the person who will make us feel like a Disney Princess or Prince. This Love does exist but not in the way we imagine. For any human to be able to give this kind of Love they must first experience the Love of God!

God has personally shown me what Love truly is, I mean come on He created it. When I once upon a time struggled with feeling unloved by people God showed me that what others had shown me was not true Love. Only God’s Love can do all the things we think Love is. God may not like something I do but He never takes His love away! He is always there for me when I need Him, He answers my prayers and my questions, He provides what I need and want! God’s Love is truly everything! When God says “All we need is in Him” it is so true! Even if I am not feeling myself I can go to God and He reminds of who I am! My identity comes from Him! I know that if I had not experienced God’s Love I would not be able to truly Love someone else. Because Of the Love God has shown me, every void has been filled, every area of my life has lined up with what He has promised. God’s Love Is Everything!

Not only did God show me what Love is but He also fine tuned me so that my heart is pure and open. This is the only way to receive God’s Love and everything that comes with it. This is also the only way to be able to give true Love to others! You cannot say you truly Love someone else until you have experienced Love yourself! If you haven’t already received God’s Love just go to Him sincerely and He will give it to you! You do not have to be perfect, or earn it, He already Loves you, you just have to receive it!

Happy Friday! 🙂

New Place, New Level: Everybody Can’t Come

When God increases you and brings you to a New Place it is very common to experience changes in every area of your life. As humans we naturally see change as scary or something unfamiliar but in fact the changes that God brings are the best changes for our lives and propels us further into fulfilling our life’s purpose.

I’ve had this very conversation with one of my cousins and she so profoundly said sometimes we pass up others that may have had a part in our lives. These people may have been titled as “friends” or someone you may consider close to you. You may realize as you move forward with God these relationships begin to change or become stale. My cousin also said “I don’t feel any kind of way about those whom I’ve left behind.” When she said that it got me to thinking specifically about my journey and how God told me once I surrendered my entire life to His plan that everybody can’t come!

When God increases you He gives you everything you need to prepare you for your New Place! Some relationships are temporary and may not be meant to extend to where you are going. It’s okay to move forward and allow those relationships that seem to all of a sudden dwindle out stay out. Sometimes this is hard for me for I’ve had very many people call me “friend” but not many be a true friend to me. So I’ll still check in every now and then with “friends” and try to plan a time to spend time with them, but I’ve finally realized Everybody Can’t Come!

God will supply all Divine Connections! I should not try to keep up relationships that were only meant for seasonal purposes, I’m on my journey and living out my purpose, those that are supposed to be in my life will be! I trust God with every area of my life and I will trust Him to bring forth the Divine Relationships that are meant. Those that are not, well I’m in a New Place and I don’t feel any kind of way about it!

Be conscious of who you decide to spend your time with. Ask yourself is this person living out their purpose? Am I trying to hold on to a relationship that is naturally dwindling away? Know that God knows best and when you allow Him to lead you. He will only lead you down the best path that contains the Divine Connections you need!

Now you can step into your New Place with confidence! Be bold and continue to live the life God has purposed you to live!

Happy Hump Day!  🙂

Moving Forward With God!

While on the journey to Divine Life you will always experience increase. God increases our lives to different levels, each level being higher than the previous one. Once a new level is reached some things and people may stay on their current level while you are Moving Forward! Recognize that some people, things, characteristics and situations are meant to be in your life for only a season. Everything is not meant to be in your life forever, just like you may be rising to a new level some things and people are not meant to come with you.

With increase comes growth and wisdom. When God increases you He brings you to a new place in which you haven’t been before, a place where you are a better version of yourself. In this new place you do things differently, think differently and expect different results. All of our old habits, old friends and traditions may change. When this happens don’t spend too much time thinking about why these things have changed just embrace it and be grateful.

Everything God does is for a reason. Don’t take for granted how God is protecting you and leading you to what He has for you. Of course bad things do not come from God but if a situation occurs that you consider bad God will always make it work out in your favor. When I think about the relationships I’ve had with people and how they have changed I’m thankful! Everyone is not on God’s plan or seeking God’s best for their lives. Those that are on their own plans leading and guiding themselves will be separated from those of us who have accepted God’s plan for our lives. Being an example in the earth of all the awesome things God can do will attract some and deter others. Just know those whom are meant to be in your life at appointed times will be.

After you’ve accepted that the concept of increase sometimes means leaving others behind don’t feel bad about the journey God has set you on. Great things and people will come into your life and you can take comfort in knowing those things and people were sent by God. It will be very easy to recognize that which doesn’t belong. I always remind myself of that because we can easily develop a long term attachment for those who are only seasonal. As we continue to put God first and at the center of every area in our lives He will always reveal to us new things, new people, new places and new levels. No one can Move Forward always looking back over their shoulder. Don’t allow your past to affect your future!

Happy Monday! ❤️

He’s Never Failed Me Yet!!

Often times people wonder how I can go through life so sure that the things I pursue will work out. Well, I am not a psychic and I can’t predict the future but my relationship with God ensures that I will not fail because He cannot.

How can I believe so strongly in someone I haven’t seen? That’s an easy question, because I’ve experienced Him for myself! Some people may live their lives purely off of their own decisions which can be filled with error. Some people may only go by the things, they can see and touch right in front of them and that’s okay. I have chosen to believe God’s word, His promises and allow Him to lead and guide me in my life.

Why you may be wondering? Well, that’s another easy one. Once I was just like some people living my own way, by my own terms and making my own plans. I chose to begin  running an endless race chasing money and success. It was always my goal to make sure I never had to ask anyone for anything, in my mind I was gonna do everything by myself. After about 3 years of working good jobs and knowing deep down I wasn’t doing what I was passionate about but making money I burned out! Mentally, physically, and emotionally I could not do it any more! Even when my body exhibited signs that it was tired and needed rest, my brain was thinking “you have to do this, nobody else is going to help you or take care of you.”

The next event following these thoughts and me refusing to listen to my body, I experienced my grandfather whom of course I was very close with passing away. This happened on top of me being totally burned out, so what did I do? I tried to keep going, not really dealing with what was going on, suppressing my emotions, then I literally passed out at my desk at work. Seriously, I had to be taken away by an ambulance and taken to the hospital. This is when I knew I had to make a change!

The Summer of 2014 I went searching for answers of why, and what to do now? God answered me, changed my heart and gave me the direction to go in. I listened and rededicated my life to Him, to live the life He has planned for me with His help! He has done everything He said He would do in my life! He has increased me astronomically! So I’m always sure that His way is better than mine, even when things seem as if they aren’t going my way I am comforted because I’m on His plan! The things He has instructed me to do, the places He has told me to go and the ideas for my talents He has placed in my heart has only increased my life! I’m so grateful to God that He’s Never Failed Me Yet! He’s never said something that He didn’t do! I know He loves me because He has shown me what His love is and what He does for me daily proves that!

So I am sold out! People want to know how do I do what I’m doing? How am I sure things will work out in my favor? It’s because of my relationship with God! If you are still searching for your purpose in life, things are a bit unsteady and you are not sure which direction to go in. I encourage you to try Him for yourself! Do this with complete surrender, not half way! He will change your life and lead and guide you where you are supposed to be! I’m speaking from experience! Living by faith is just as difficult as not living by faith except it’s the best way to live! Let’s remember I’ve tried living my way. I’d rather live with God helping me than without! My relationship with Him gives me favor in places I wouldn’t have had on my own and causes everything I set my hands to do to prosper! You don’t get those benefits without God! I have 2 degrees, and I’m working on my 3rd certification but what God has taught me is more than any book or course can teach me! I know I need Him! What about you?

I pray that everyone reading this post finds their way to living the Divine life! You only have one life to live, why not make it your best life!?!

Happy Friday! ❤️

JB

Patience, Gratefulness & Worship!

On this journey God has placed me on I have acquired certain attitudes about life and God’s Plan. Attitudes that I believe are skills needed to get me through each level of increase God brings. Each level of increase consists of a process before the manifestation, the process although it can be difficult builds me up, makes my spirit stronger and teaches me key components that I will need once I reach the next level of increase. It is tough to see the value in the process while I’m in it but towards the end I see how God has added value to my life and my journey.

One of the most valuable skills I have learned is Patience. God has taught me the art of waiting. Timing is so intricate within God’s plan, everything is done at a specific time or within a season. I may not always understand it but the results of my Patience has been amazing thus far. I always remind myself in the times I become impatient that God knows what He is doing and I have allowed Him to have full control over my life. I have came this far because of God and He knows what is best for me. With Patience comes trust, trusting God through every situation and to solve every problem is important. There is nothing too hard for God and nothing He can’t do!

After learning Patience I’ve learned to have a attitude of Gratitude! Continuing to be Grateful for all I have now instead of worrying about what I don’t have and what I want to have in the future. Now don’t get me wrong I am a forward thinking person, I take time to meditate on my future and my goals. But I also make sure I am consistently being Grateful to God for increasing me from where I used to be. If you can show God you are Grateful with what He has blessed you with now, He knows He can trust you and bless you with more! I don’t take anything for granted from waking up everyday with Divine health and in my right mind to crossing paths with people who are meant to be in my life. I like to call it Divine Intervention, everything is for a reason.

Lastly I have recently gotten a deeper revelation of what it means to Worship! Worshiping God doesn’t have to mean what someone else says it means, but what it means to me which is having a special honor and reverence for God. In other words a special respect that you have for God that you don’t have for anyone else. Pastor Bridget Hilliard of New Light Christian Center explained it this way at the Women’s Conference this past week. This got me to thinking about my personal relationship with God and what it means. How I have come to know and love God so much that I trust Him in every area of my life! So I decided why Worship God only when you are going through something or on Sundays when you attend church. I’ve decided to show God how much He means to me daily, so I now include Worship in my routine. God means so much to me and I love to show Him the honor and place He holds in my life! Also Worship changes things! Since I’ve added Worship in my daily routine God always gives my spirit exactly what it needs to keep going, to stay strong and to accomplish my goals that day! I love it! The wonderful thing about God is He has so much to give us even if we don’t ask for anything and when we do ask for something He gives us more! Come On, who wouldn’t want to Worship a God like that!?! He is The Only God Like That!

Life has so many things going on, things to do, places to go, people to see, difficulties that arise but God is constant, always there, never changing, always loving, unending and everything we will ever need forever! I am more than ecstatic to know Him, love Him and have Him at the center of my life and everything I do! If He has taught me this much as of now, just imagine how much more He will teach me and show me! With God as the head of my life, I can master my life’s journey, be the woman He created me to be and fulfill my God given purpose on this Earth! And You Can Too!

Happy Tuesday! 🙂 ❤️

Don’t Panic, Step Back, Gain Clarity & Trust God!!!

In life it is inevitable that difficult and inconvenient situations will arise. Often times we may react instead of thinking things through, seeing the situation as a mountain instead of a molehill. When difficult times happen as they will don’t look so closely at the problem, for every problem God has a solution.

On this journey I have learned that reacting is not always the best choice, I can get angry, yell scream and throw an adult tantrum but the problem will still be there. When you have a problem you want it to go away as quickly as possible. You don’t want to prolong it or cause more problems and the only way to do that is first Don’t Panic! When we Panic our minds are clouded, when we are upset all we are thinking of is the problem that needs solving. Your mind is blocked off to coming up with solutions for the problem. This might sound simple but stay calm and give yourself time to process what you have been presented with.

Once you are cool, your difficult glasses are off and you now see the issue for exactly what it is. You won’t exaggerate or see the issue through a magnifying glass, you see and understand what is happening. Taking a Step Back in all situations is a good thing! Getting too excited about something great or that seems great at the moment may look different later. It works the same when difficulties arise. Stepping Back allows your mind to be clear after you realize the actual size of the issue.

After snapping back into reality and understanding the issue at hand now you can gain Clarity that will help you come up with solutions! Your mind is clear, your thinking is straight and now God can channel solutions for your problem through you! Things you couldn’t have thought of when you were upset will come to you. Lastly Trust God! You can trust that God has not thought of a problem that there is not a solution for! He knows all and provides us with all we need when we need it! He has instilled wisdom in you to handle any and all of life’s situations! Trust God that He will get you through any obstacle that tries to get in your way! The scripture that I love to say when things get difficult for me is “No weapon formed against me will prosper!” Meaning things will try to stop you from getting what God has for you but will not be successful in any and all attempts! So even when things seem unbearable Trust God! He Has Us!

I recently experienced this within my own journey. My cell phone decided to break, not because I dropped it or didn’t take care of it. In great condition it just stopped working, would not even turn on. No big deal right….well the bigger issue was I had a phone interview the next day! Go figure my phone breaks and now I can’t have the phone interview for the job I’ve been praying for! What!?! I did everything I explained to you today. Not only did I have a great interview (went to use the phone in my apartments office), I have a new phone and I have another interview tomorrow! I trusted God and although something so small but so inconvenient came up I have the victory! What God has planned is already a finished product! Nothing and No one can stop what God has for you!!!

Happy Hump Day! 🙂
