Overcoming Daily Obstacles!

Most of us in this world are working adults, we work the dreadful Monday through Friday schedule 8AM to 5PM. Depending on your career path you may have more flexibility or be a homemaker. In any case we all work, taking the steps to reach our goals in life and to fulfill our life’s purpose.

During the work week it is so easy to experience many obstacles. These obstacles may be work related, personal or emotional. Either way by the end of the week you can be drained from it all or you can overcome those obstacles like a champ! Here is what I do to effectively get through the work week, enjoy the weekend and get back to business the next week.

Firstly I’ve been working a new job for almost 4 months now. I used to work from home but now I go into the office. My daily obstacles include, office banter, traffic, waking up before the butt crack of dawn and dealing with people, their feelings, thoughts and attitudes all week long! And then I say “God are you sure this is what I asked for?”

The way I come out on top every week is I continue to fill my spirit with God’s word. Listening to a sermon, reading scripture or notes that I’d previously made, it’s all God’s word. Then when I get off of work I always do at least one enjoyable activity, whether it is watching my favorite show, listening to music or best of all getting on my skates! As long as I do something enjoyable that evening it helps my week go smoother.

The second thing I do is to always be mindful of foolishness and negative people. If you can, avoid both of these. Foolishness and negative people only bring you down, use your energy ineffectively and cause you to get distracted. You don’t need that, I know I don’t!

Lastly, don’t panic! Don’t panic when things don’t go as planned or you left the shoes you wanted to wear to work at home and didn’t realize it until you were halfway to work, had no spare time to stop for a new pair and if you did everything is closed because it’s 6AM when you arrive at your place of work like I did this morning! Haha!

Lift up your head, trust God because He has a solution for every problem and walk into work confidently, get through your work week gracefully, use your energy effectively and wear those Neon Pink Nike Slides like you coordinated it with your outfit on purpose! 😁

When we make sure we fill our spirits with God’s word, do enjoyable activities, don’t panic and trust God we will continue to overcome daily obstacles, small aggravations and unexpected changes. At the end of week we will be winners, conquerors and exactly the people God created us to be!

When You Do Better, You Become Better And Experience Better!

Happy Wacky Wednesday! ❤

Go With The Flow, Depending On God For Everything!!!

It’s human nature to want to do things ourselves, make our own choices, never ask for help but to first try and make things happen all on our own. Even as a child begins to explore on their own they often tell their parents “I got it” or “I’m going to do it myself.” It’s natural to feel if you don’t do it yourself it won’t be done in the right way, or the way in which you want it to be done. But God is here for us, alongside us, teaching us, leading and guiding us to an adventure that He has planned specifically for our lives.

I must say it is never easy asking for help or thinking that I cannot do things on my own. It took an event in my life for me to realize that life isn’t easy and I needed help in order to live my best life. As I came to this point I turned to God admitting that I was lost and needed help. I was also willing to stop doing things my own way and open to learning how to live my life the way God has planned it. He immediately begin to reveal His plan for my life, slowly but surely. This plan required me to always depend on God, to trust Him to lead me to making the right choices, allowing the Divine relationships into my life and to steer clear of relationships/friendships that were not meant for me. It required work on my part but this time when I accepted God’s way and abandoned my own I would never be alone.

Little did I know once I made the decision to accept God’s plan a continuous need for God would grow. I went from calling on God in only hard times to needing Him everyday, in every decision and in every area of my life. The more I depended on God the more He taught me. I learned to trust Him always, come to Him first not as a last resort and keep Him at the head of my life. God has increased me in amazing ways that cannot be explained. He has held a firm grip on me not letting me fall when life gets hard and making lemonade out of very sour lemons. I have learned how to be happy 99 percent of the time and when weapons form that 1 percent of the time to have faith they won’t prosper. I don’t sweat the small stuff and I am open to instant changes because life is always changing. I continue to accept God’s plan for my life over and over again! I say that because we ask God for things all the time but when He gives them to us in a way that we didn’t think could have happened sometimes we can overlook the blessing just because it didn’t happen the way we may have thought it would.

When we accept God’s plan and depend on him, solely on Him for all things we allow Him to bless us in the best way possible or impossible. The way God does things in and throughout our lives we don’t have the capacity to think that up! We can’t even imagine it! God is so big and so loving! He has our best interest, He protects us, He looks out for us, He is loyal to us and most of all He loves us more than any human can!

If you are having a hard time figuring this thing called Life out just hook up with God. He is the best friend and family you could ever have! He knows all and He is all the help you need! His word says “Everything We Need Is In Him.” With God you can’t lose, you may get down but He won’t let you fall and your life will never be boring! But filled up with the great adventure God has created just for you!

Try Him Y’all! He Will Teach You How To Go With The Flow Of Life! Increasing You Every Step Of The Way!

Happy Sunday! ❤️

I’d Rather Be….

Have you ever taken the time to let your mind wander, or set aside some time to just think? I often find myself allowing my mind to drift when I’m alone and it’s quiet I think of my future.

Sometimes I wonder if given a time machine what things I would go back and change? I think about things I would rather be doing, and if I did change some things would I be in the same place in life that I am now? Would I have done more, seen more and achieved more? When I ask myself these questions I know I’m not alone in wondering where I’d rather be.

On my life’s journey so far I have learned and observed we spend a lot of time wondering what could have been? Allowing our past experiences to take a seat in our present lives. In order to move forward and have the future God has planned for us, we must first move out of the past. Moving out of the past doesn’t mean you have to forget it. I definitely have had past experiences that have helped to shape me into the woman I am today. (And not to toot my own horn but I turned out pretty great). Remembering some of my past reaffirms how far I have come while not repeating my past mistakes. We shouldn’t let our past make present and future decisions in our lives.

Some ways to not allow your past to interfere with your present and future are as follows:

*Always Forgive*

No matter who it is or what was done forgive them, forgive it. Remember forgiveness is always for you and not for the person or act you are forgiving.

*Let Go*

After you have forgiven just let it go! You will feel free of the tension and heaviness that comes with holding on to a wrongdoing or negativity.

*Trust God*

Trusting people is so hard! So therefore put all of your trust in God! He will guard your heart so you don’t have to. Trust that He will bring the right people and opportunities into your life!

*Walk In Love*

In everything you do, do it with the intention of Love! You can’t control what others do or say but you always have control over yourself, your response, your intentions and your actions. Love is a choice and an action not just a feeling!

So now when wondering where I’d rather be I am just filled with thankfulness! I am thankful that I am not my past, I am not those past hurts and wrong-doings. I am the woman God created me to be! I will not allow past experiences to take a seat in my present life or cause me to make future decisions because of what happened to me back in the day! I will continue to allow my past to be just what it was, an old experience, a memory, a lesson. It is not my future, it is not me! My past or any situation, any person or anything cannot and will not stop me from receiving all God has for me!

Be encouraged today that you are not your past! Your future is brighter than ever and God’s Love flows through you! Therefore you have everything you need to live your best life and to conquer every obstacle! That molehill may seem like a mountain but God has already worked it out for you! I’d rather be living my best life, how about you?

Happy Friday! ❤️

A Firm Foundation!

When you think of a foundation you normally think the beginning, a place to start from or a place to build from. In every area of life your foundation is what grounds you, a  reminder of where you first came from, how far you’ve come and where you are going. Foundation is important because when things change, are removed and are shaken in your life it’s the foundation in which you will have to come back to and stand.

No matter what we go through in life it is important to always remember where you began and to focus in on where you’re going. Personally this always helps me to be encouraged and to never give up. When I think of the progression that has occurred in my life it reminds me to continue to be thankful and to remember I have more to do to fulfill my God-given life’s purpose. I would not be able to do anything that I have done if I did not have a structure in which I’ve built from.

For some people Foundation can mean family friends or inspiration that constantly reminds them of the road ahead. Your foundation should be something that can continue to keep you focused on the Journey God has created for your life. As long as you have something to keep you steady when life is changing, something that pushes you to keep going and something that inspires you to live your best life nothing and no one can stop what God has planned for you.

When the tough times in life arise as they sometimes do just remember the foundation from which you came from, which you built upon, the life that you have committed to live and the lives that will be changed because of your choice to live out your life’s purpose. We were all put here for a reason, a very special purpose to use our God-given gifts and talents  to show others His love and marvelous works through us. Your life will be an example to others of what God is really about and how he works, which is through people. The only way to make it through this journey that was made just for you is by standing strong on your foundation. When you do you will be living out your dreams and life’s purpose doing what God has made you to do and receiving all He has for you!

Happy Sunday! 🙂

Who Is God….Really!?!

Different people that come from different backgrounds and experiences have all come to God or turned away from God in their own way. Through my personal life’s journey I’ve found that some people may know God but can have some misconceptions about who God really is. Some see Him as something you can depend on, a constant and everything you need to live your best life. Others can see Him as a judge, someone who sits on a throne, waits for you to make a mistake and instantly send punishment your way. I will share Who God Really Is in my life.

Who is God…Really? I don’t know who He is to you but to me God is everything! Literally Everything! I could not live the life I live now without God. Trust me I tried it once and it was awful. I couldn’t win for losing, my mind was never clear, I was stressed, always trying to be a step ahead but in actuality I was 10 steps behind. I couldn’t figure out why bad things would happen to me. I was kind and helpful, I was a good person. Why couldn’t I get it together? It was because I had not fully dedicated myself to God.

After I figured that out, which I wish I would have done earlier I not only dedicated my life to God but He gave me something. A lot of somethings to help me become the woman He created me to be. Most of our lives we are searching and trying to figure out who we are and what our purpose on this Earth is. Well, I know someone who has those answers God!

I always had some sense of God because of the way I grew up. My mother made it mandatory that her children attend church. So I always knew of God and knew how to pray and go to Him when I needed. But it was not until I dedicated my life to Him as an adult that I fully experienced and came to understand who God really is. Even in some church experiences preachers can have misconceptions about God. They will tell you God is so powerful, which He is and all that He did in the Old Testament to punish those who didn’t obey Him. And those stories can pretty much scare the crap out of you. What I have learned and what is the most important and most powerful thing about God is His Love! His Love for us, and what He did to make sure we always have a way back to Him!

I know this may sound cliche’ but God is Love! You want to know God, know Love! You want to experience true Love, get to know God! God not only changed me into my best self but He also showed me what true Love really is, and in this He showed me Himself! Because of my Love experience with God, my fear of Him is reverence for Him not actual being afraid of Him because of His power. My relationship with God is like a Best Friend and Parent/Child Relationship all in one. I can go to Him for anything, I can express myself with Him freely and if it is something I am need or want  He provides it for me! Because of God I cannot be fooled by deceitful people or by the devil himself. I know that everything I need is in God! And to honor His love He shows me everyday I continue to keep Him at the forefront of my life and include Him in everything that I do!

God is Love! God is Everything You Need! God Knows All! God is Life! This is Who God Really Is!

Happy Monday! ❤️

New Place, New Level: Everybody Can’t Come

When God increases you and brings you to a New Place it is very common to experience changes in every area of your life. As humans we naturally see change as scary or something unfamiliar but in fact the changes that God brings are the best changes for our lives and propels us further into fulfilling our life’s purpose.

I’ve had this very conversation with one of my cousins and she so profoundly said sometimes we pass up others that may have had a part in our lives. These people may have been titled as “friends” or someone you may consider close to you. You may realize as you move forward with God these relationships begin to change or become stale. My cousin also said “I don’t feel any kind of way about those whom I’ve left behind.” When she said that it got me to thinking specifically about my journey and how God told me once I surrendered my entire life to His plan that everybody can’t come!

When God increases you He gives you everything you need to prepare you for your New Place! Some relationships are temporary and may not be meant to extend to where you are going. It’s okay to move forward and allow those relationships that seem to all of a sudden dwindle out stay out. Sometimes this is hard for me for I’ve had very many people call me “friend” but not many be a true friend to me. So I’ll still check in every now and then with “friends” and try to plan a time to spend time with them, but I’ve finally realized Everybody Can’t Come!

God will supply all Divine Connections! I should not try to keep up relationships that were only meant for seasonal purposes, I’m on my journey and living out my purpose, those that are supposed to be in my life will be! I trust God with every area of my life and I will trust Him to bring forth the Divine Relationships that are meant. Those that are not, well I’m in a New Place and I don’t feel any kind of way about it!

Be conscious of who you decide to spend your time with. Ask yourself is this person living out their purpose? Am I trying to hold on to a relationship that is naturally dwindling away? Know that God knows best and when you allow Him to lead you. He will only lead you down the best path that contains the Divine Connections you need!

Now you can step into your New Place with confidence! Be bold and continue to live the life God has purposed you to live!

Happy Hump Day!  🙂

The Favor Of God Taking You To New Places!

There is absolutely nothing like the Favor Of God! God’s Favor in our lives allows us to surpass and exceed our life’s goals and fulfill our life’s purpose! When things align in your life to meet exactly what God’s word says know that it is the Favor Of God! The awesome thing about God is He freely gives us what we need to live our best lives. Not only does He provide us with the tools to master this life but also He gives us what we desire!

When in a partnership with God we should take nothing for granted, not a delay, trial, tribulation or event. Although God does not cause us grief, hurt or pain when events that cause negative feelings arise He has the solution to every problem! God loves us so much that He chases after us! That’s right! God wants you to live for Him and wants to help you to live your best life! Its not because of how good of a person you may be or because the universe is in your favor it is because of God’s love that He extends His supernatural Favor into every area of our lives!

Before I rededicated my life to God I used to think that everything bad or negative happened to me. I constantly would ask God “Why?” I often wondered how life could almost never be in my Favor and what did I do that horrible things always seemed to come my way. I often reflected on the good I had done, how nice I had been to others, how I had helped out friends and family but only received hurt, pain and anguish in return. I obviously had the wrong type of thinking back then, I thought my life should have given me good results because of how good of a person I was but little did I know it did not work that way!

It was only when I began to take my relationship with God seriously, made the choice to receive His love and  yield to His ways that I begin to understand what life was really about. I was on my own plan therefore I was lost but with God He showed me exactly what to do, where to go and had given me His Favor and grace to do all He planned for me! Sometimes we don’t understand things, we have questions and get lost in our own plans but God is right there all along watching and waiting for us to come to Him! Some places in life we will not be able to reach without God’s Favor! The way God does things is in an excellent order that we could only try to imagine. When God thinks of what He has planned for us and our lives it is on a larger scale, for a greater purpose and carries a greater meaning! God’s thinking is bigger than ours! He knows ALL!

God is Limitless and when we trust Him to help us live our best lives we are Limitless!! Isn’t that awesome!?! I know for a fact there were some decisions I couldn’t have made without God’s help, places in my career and personal life that I would not have been able to do on my own. But God’s Favor is on my life! Everything I set my hands to do prospers! Every desire of my heart God is fulfilling! I mean He is the best partner to have! I hold my relationship with God to the highest regard and continue to keep Him first in my life! I know without His Favor I would not be where I am today!

Everything begins and ends with God! I must say His word is true and everything I need and desire is in Him! Because of God’s Favor I am a confident woman, living her dreams! Literally, my dreams are coming true right in front of my eyes! I am amazed at how God has presented opportunities to me, allowed me get to places that exceed my education and experience all while making divine connections with others! I know His Favor has protected me, helped me, saved me and led me to be living the Divine Life! Literally Faith To Divine Life! Do not underestimate what God has created you to do! His Favor will get you to places you did not even know you were supposed to be! Trust Him!

Like I always say if you don’t believe me, then try Him for yourself! I guarantee you will be amazed!

Happy Thursday! 🙂

XOXO,

JB

Moving Forward With God!

While on the journey to Divine Life you will always experience increase. God increases our lives to different levels, each level being higher than the previous one. Once a new level is reached some things and people may stay on their current level while you are Moving Forward! Recognize that some people, things, characteristics and situations are meant to be in your life for only a season. Everything is not meant to be in your life forever, just like you may be rising to a new level some things and people are not meant to come with you.

With increase comes growth and wisdom. When God increases you He brings you to a new place in which you haven’t been before, a place where you are a better version of yourself. In this new place you do things differently, think differently and expect different results. All of our old habits, old friends and traditions may change. When this happens don’t spend too much time thinking about why these things have changed just embrace it and be grateful.

Everything God does is for a reason. Don’t take for granted how God is protecting you and leading you to what He has for you. Of course bad things do not come from God but if a situation occurs that you consider bad God will always make it work out in your favor. When I think about the relationships I’ve had with people and how they have changed I’m thankful! Everyone is not on God’s plan or seeking God’s best for their lives. Those that are on their own plans leading and guiding themselves will be separated from those of us who have accepted God’s plan for our lives. Being an example in the earth of all the awesome things God can do will attract some and deter others. Just know those whom are meant to be in your life at appointed times will be.

After you’ve accepted that the concept of increase sometimes means leaving others behind don’t feel bad about the journey God has set you on. Great things and people will come into your life and you can take comfort in knowing those things and people were sent by God. It will be very easy to recognize that which doesn’t belong. I always remind myself of that because we can easily develop a long term attachment for those who are only seasonal. As we continue to put God first and at the center of every area in our lives He will always reveal to us new things, new people, new places and new levels. No one can Move Forward always looking back over their shoulder. Don’t allow your past to affect your future!

Happy Monday! ❤️

Choosing To Be Constantly Thankful!

Every situation brings different feelings, when hardship strikes we often have thoughts of what it is we may feel that we need or want but don’t have. We can often fill our minds with thoughts of what our future will be like if our situation doesn’t change. We become consumed with life’s pressures of being successful and having more money than we could dream of. But having to worry about money and what it can buy us can cause us to be ungrateful and unthankful. Then we may find ourselves mumbling and complaining about what we wish we had instead of being Thankful for what we do have, the place we presently are and what God has promised for our future.

Geez Louise Life can be hard, things don’t go as planned, obstacles thrown in our way and the constant chase to be the world’s definition of successful. I’m hear to tell you I agree! Life is hard! Nothing worth having is easy! Know that God has a purpose and plan designed just for you. In order to achieve this, a partnership with Him is necessary! After you have hooked up with God, we expect for God to pour on the blessings in the form of money as soon as possible. Well, sorry to be the hammer that comes down on your head as I speak the truth, God’s promises does not automatically come to pass. I know, shocking right! God requires us to do our part, to stand on His word, Trust Him and pursue the ideas, gifts and talents He has placed within us! So what I am saying here is you have to do some work to get what God has promised you! I know another shocker!

Because we are required to work and do our parts we may experience periods of delay and difficult times. The awesome thing is that God is always there helping us and guiding us to what He has for us! When these times that you have not planned or deemed to be stupid or frustrating comes along, continue to be Thankful! All God has done for you up until this point was not for nothing! And pay attention, God may be teaching you something, revealing things, skills and people that will be important to your next level! God may be increasing you!

Don’t ever take for granted a situation the devil meant to be a tragedy turning around to increase your life! God does His best miracles out of tragic situations! Having an attitude of Thankfulness along with a Thankful heart will cause God to get to you what He promised much more quickly than when you are focusing on what you don’t have! In case you are a person who has been complaining more than being Thankful here are a few tips to get you started to achieving a Thankful heart and attitude.

Reasons To Be Thankful:

  • You woke up today!
  • You have the ability to do the work God requires!
  • You have the ability to speak things into your life as if you’ve already got them!
  • You can open your mouth and say Thank You God!

There you go! Make being Thankful a lifestyle! No matter where you are in life, I bet it is better than you were before! You have to Thank God for that! Working with God as your partner in life, every need will be met, you can make your dreams your reality and everything in your life is always subject to change! And when God thinks of change it includes increase and all He has promised you! Take God’s promises personally! He will always do what He said He would! He is doing great things for me and He will do them for you! Show God you can handle the best life He has planned! Be a good steward by always being Thankful!

Happy Sunday! ❤️

Patience, Gratefulness & Worship!

On this journey God has placed me on I have acquired certain attitudes about life and God’s Plan. Attitudes that I believe are skills needed to get me through each level of increase God brings. Each level of increase consists of a process before the manifestation, the process although it can be difficult builds me up, makes my spirit stronger and teaches me key components that I will need once I reach the next level of increase. It is tough to see the value in the process while I’m in it but towards the end I see how God has added value to my life and my journey.

One of the most valuable skills I have learned is Patience. God has taught me the art of waiting. Timing is so intricate within God’s plan, everything is done at a specific time or within a season. I may not always understand it but the results of my Patience has been amazing thus far. I always remind myself in the times I become impatient that God knows what He is doing and I have allowed Him to have full control over my life. I have came this far because of God and He knows what is best for me. With Patience comes trust, trusting God through every situation and to solve every problem is important. There is nothing too hard for God and nothing He can’t do!

After learning Patience I’ve learned to have a attitude of Gratitude! Continuing to be Grateful for all I have now instead of worrying about what I don’t have and what I want to have in the future. Now don’t get me wrong I am a forward thinking person, I take time to meditate on my future and my goals. But I also make sure I am consistently being Grateful to God for increasing me from where I used to be. If you can show God you are Grateful with what He has blessed you with now, He knows He can trust you and bless you with more! I don’t take anything for granted from waking up everyday with Divine health and in my right mind to crossing paths with people who are meant to be in my life. I like to call it Divine Intervention, everything is for a reason.

Lastly I have recently gotten a deeper revelation of what it means to Worship! Worshiping God doesn’t have to mean what someone else says it means, but what it means to me which is having a special honor and reverence for God. In other words a special respect that you have for God that you don’t have for anyone else. Pastor Bridget Hilliard of New Light Christian Center explained it this way at the Women’s Conference this past week. This got me to thinking about my personal relationship with God and what it means. How I have come to know and love God so much that I trust Him in every area of my life! So I decided why Worship God only when you are going through something or on Sundays when you attend church. I’ve decided to show God how much He means to me daily, so I now include Worship in my routine. God means so much to me and I love to show Him the honor and place He holds in my life! Also Worship changes things! Since I’ve added Worship in my daily routine God always gives my spirit exactly what it needs to keep going, to stay strong and to accomplish my goals that day! I love it! The wonderful thing about God is He has so much to give us even if we don’t ask for anything and when we do ask for something He gives us more! Come On, who wouldn’t want to Worship a God like that!?! He is The Only God Like That!

Life has so many things going on, things to do, places to go, people to see, difficulties that arise but God is constant, always there, never changing, always loving, unending and everything we will ever need forever! I am more than ecstatic to know Him, love Him and have Him at the center of my life and everything I do! If He has taught me this much as of now, just imagine how much more He will teach me and show me! With God as the head of my life, I can master my life’s journey, be the woman He created me to be and fulfill my God given purpose on this Earth! And You Can Too!

Happy Tuesday! 🙂 ❤️
