We all as human beings can grow insecurities in our life’s journey. Sometimes insecurities can come from bad experiences or bad self-talk. Insecurities are a natural occurrence seeming that living on earth isn’t always the easiest thing to do, but it is our responsibility to get those insecurities under control, so it doesn’t continue to grow and fester in our lives as well as the lives of those we are surrounded by.
Because we know that insecurities come from within, we have to remember to be careful not to compare our lives to others. Comparing will help new insecurities to grow within us as well as welcome negative thoughts about others. We all come from different backgrounds and have different experiences. It is never okay to compare your life to someone else’s. The choices someone else made may not be the same as the choices you have made, and as we know choices shape our lives. Choices can also decide the trajectory of our lives. God has created us all unique. Your skills and talents may be different from someone else’s skills and talents. What a person has decided with the free will God has given us may be different from what you have decided. This results in different life outcomes.
Confidence that comes from God is a true Cure for any and all insecurities that can come up in life. God’s word tells us who we are and who’s we are. He lets us know that we are fearfully and wonderfully made as well as loved beyond measure. So many people go through life feeling unloved, developing hate within their hearts and feeling ashamed of their past mistakes. God is such a loving and forgiving God, with that forgiveness He frees us from guilt and shame. There is nothing that we could do that would stop Him from loving us! God hates sin but He loves all His creations. That includes us!
Freeing ourselves by going to God allows us to live a peaceful life. You wouldn’t want someone to treat you like some of you choose to treat others all because they have reached a level in life you have not yet reached. I say not yet reached because you have the choice every day to change what you don’t like about your life. You always have the option to make your life better by making better decisions. Life is 90 percent made up of your choices and 10 percent of what happens to you. Don’t get into the business of trying to create foolishness for people who have made different choices than you. You always have the power to do better, do the right thing even when no one is watching and improve your life.
Learn to be true and honest when you celebrate other’s accomplishments. Don’t pretend you are happy for someone just because you feel you can get something from that person. That is called using them and it is never okay to use someone for your own personal gain. Lastly, God is always watching. Everyone will reap what they sow. So, spend your time doing great and positive things including sowing positive words into others. Be genuine about your delivery. And check your insecurities at the door!
Happy Wednesday!
With Love,
JB ❤️
