Who Is God, And What Can He Do For Me?

05/19/2021

Many people speak of God in a sense when they are saying you should believe in Him and go to Him. Even in my previous posts I’ve used these same statements. Today I would like to break down exactly who God is for those who may not know or who may have questions. If you are sure you know who God is and have a relationship with Him this will be only a refresher and reminder to you of who God really is and what He can do for you.

The first thing I will say about God is that He is a creator. He created you, me, your family and all the other humans and creatures in the earth. He also created this world and put you here for a purpose. God is all knowing and loving even when He knows we will make mistakes or in some cases make the choice not to choose Him. He knows us best because He created us. While our experiences and choices shape our lives God never gives up hope that one day all of His children will choose Him. He knows all may not but He hopes they will.

God loves freely and unconditionally. This means that there is nothing we could do or say to stop God from loving us, even if we’re not living the way He planned for us He still loves us. God’s love holds everything we need. Once God’s love is accepted by you, you will have all that you need to live out your purpose. His love brings healing, strength, joy, peace and opens the door for wisdom, understanding and forgiveness. All the essentials needed to live your best life.

God is so big we may never know everything about Him. He desires a relationship with all of us that is equivalent to a Father and child relationship. God thinks only good thoughts of us, cares for us and has compassion for us throughout our lives on earth and beyond. God has promised many things but He never promised us a life without trouble, struggles, trials and tribulations. But He did promise that we could come to Him directly, pray to Him, talk to Him and depend on Him and He will provide us with all we need and desire.

Psalm 112: 1-4 states: ” Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! Blessed, fortunate, prosperous and favored by God is the man who fears the Lord with awe-inspired reverence and worships Him with obedience, Who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on the earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness endures forever. Light arises in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious and compassionate and righteous upright- in right standing with God. (Amplified Bible)

What thoughts do you have after reading that? I previously mentioned God has a plan and purpose for our lives. This means He does require something from us. God is a giver but He requires us to be obedient to how He has planned for us to live. Let’s start with the 10 Commandments. Even if you have never stepped foot in a church I am sure it’s highly possible that you’ve heard of the very first rules God put into place in order for us to have a full and purposeful life. For example, thou shall not steal, thou shall not kill. I won’t list them all here but God put rules in place for us to be able to live great lives. Not to stop us from having fun but to prevent us from making a mistake we cannot come back from. Some consequences from doing something wrong can last a lifetime. And who wants to live like that? I don’t but some people live without consideration of consequences and make choices that bring hardship.

God is there for us in all situations. It is important to understand that He created a great life for you to live, filled with all that you need and desire. The choice is up to you. God will never force us to choose Him. He will only keep the faith in knowing one day you may choose Him and the plan He has for your life!

Never forget, God Got Us! ❤️

Happy Wednesday!

With Love,
